About

From my studio in a barn in Middle England, I work as a full-time figurative abstract artist. My background in fashion design and illustration has deeply influenced my artistic development, guiding my focus on fluidity and form.

I primarily use acrylics, applying multiple layers of paint and then selectively removing them to reveal rich colors and textures beneath. This process of layering and subtraction creates a sense of depth and complexity in each piece. My favored techniques include sgraffito, water lifting, and drip methods, all of which allow me to explore the dynamic interplay between control and spontaneity.

By incorporating random elements, such as water lifting, I introduce a level of unpredictability that makes the creative process thrilling, leading to unexpected outcomes. This approach allows me to blend intention with chance, embracing the organic nature of the materials. The resulting works feel deeply personal and unique, capturing the essence of my interaction with the moment and the medium.
